C.1830, French, 8-day time and bell strike silk thread suspension fountain or automaton mantel clock. Glass tube that extends from the lions mouth rotates by a separate spring mechanism in the base to simulate a fountain of water.
Condition: Bronze case with gilt mountings is in extra nice condition. Silvered dial is very good with some wear to silvering. Moon hands are original...
